I am a familiar face in the City of Stevens Point Treasurer’s office, where I have worked full-time for nearly 27 years. I am a lifelong Wisconsin resident and Stevens Point has been home for nearly 33 years. My government experience, dedication, and attention to detail have made me an integral part of the city staff and well-suited to be Stevens Point’s next City Clerk.
The City Clerk’s office requires an attentive and astute leader who understands government and the city, collaborates with others, and is committed to public service. I am running for City Clerk because I know how important the job is.
Ensuring election integrity is perhaps the most vital and visible of the City Clerk’s responsibilities. In the same way that I pull together the many moving parts of tax bill creation or yearly audits, I look forward to great satisfaction at coordinating accurate, smoothly-running elections. I want our voters to feel confident about their vote.
As Tax Specialist, I work with multiple departments as well as county, state, and federal government. I know how to meet deadlines and work under time constraints. And I value my contact with the public. I already partner with the City Clerk--collaborating with regards to online payments for licenses and permits, training the Clerk’s staff to use the City’s special assessment system, and serving as an Election Official.
Experience Matters. My current success in a complex position has resulted from 27 years of dedication demonstrating accuracy, precision, and attention to detail. I will bring my breadth and depth of civic knowledge and my commitment to the City of Stevens Point as your next City Clerk.
